Eljiah's Retreat Check-Out Policy

Policy Statement

Check-out time is at 11 AM. To help us keep costs low for families, we do not charge a cleaning fee. Your assistance with the following cleaning tasks is greatly appreciated and helps keep Elijah’s Retreat running smoothly.

Scope

This policy applies to all guests staying at Elijah’s Retreat.

Policy Details

Cleaning Checklist

  • Towels: Wash, dry, fold, and put away all used towels.
  • Bed Linens: Wash and dry used bed linens, and remake the beds.
  • Food: Dispose of or take all leftover food with you.
  • Dishes: Wash and put away all used dishes.
  • Floors: Vacuum, sweep, and mop the floors.
  • Trash: Place kitchen and bathroom trash in the large can outside, next to the cabin.
  • Toys/Books: Put away all toys and books in the kid’s room.
  • Bathroom: Clean the toilet, sink, and bathtub.

If needed, you may leave the last load running in the dryer as you depart.

Enforcement

Initial Cleaning Violation

Guests requiring more assistance with cleaning the cabin will be contacted to see how our staff can best support the family with future check-outs and a note will be added to their guest account. 

Subsequent Cleaning Violation

Guests found unable to clean the cabin will be contacted to see how our staff can best support the family with future check-outs and a $200 charge will be added to their account.

Initial Late Check-Out Violation

Guests found unable to check out by 11 AM will be contacted to see how our staff can best support the family with future check-outs and a note will be added to their guest account.

Subsequent Late Check-Out Violation

Guest found unable to check out by 11 AM will be contacted to see how our staff can best support the family with future check-outs and a $200 charge will be added to their account.
